What: Media conference on Tibet

Where: Parliament House, Perth

When: 11.00 am Monday 3rd September 2007

Greens MLC Giz Watson and a spokesperson for the Tibetan Community in WA, Mr Zatul Rinpoche *, will be holding a media conference to raise issues of Chinese human rights abuses in Tibet.

This is to mark the visit to Perth of Chinese President Hu.

Also members of Perth's Tibetan Community will be joined by friends and supporters in a peaceful vigil at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at 7.15 pm Monday 3rd September.

* Mr Zatul Rinpoche is a former representative for East Asia of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, a former Member of the Tibetan Parliament-in-exile and has been living in exile since 1961.
