Giz Watson, MLC: Uranium showdown - Greens challenge Carpenter

The Greens will introduce legislation next Tuesday to ban uranium mining and prohibit nuclear power stations in WA.

"I am deeply concerned at the Premier's recent statements on uranium, leaving the door open for future uranium mining in WA," Greens Spokesperson Giz Watson MLC said.

"I challenge the Premier to reaffirm his commitment to a nuclear free WA and support the passage of this urgent legislation,"

"The Premier is on record as saying he would legislate for these two outcomes. He hasn't delivered. It is up to the Greens to hold him to his word,"
